Punica granatum (Pomegranate)

Cultivated between 3,300 and 9,000 feet. I am not aware of commercial cultivation of pomegranate in Colombia. I have only seen the tree in private gardens. For ten-plus years I never even saw it sold in supermarkets. Recently, for short period of times, imported pomegranate has been made available. The fruit is called granada in Colombia. Photographed in the Valley of Cauca.
