Colombia has nine native species of the genus Psidium, but this is not one of them. Cultivated between 3,300 and 9,000 feet. The fruit is see eaten whole and taste like a guava but sweeter. I have not seen this fruit marketed in Colombia. Photographed in Bogotá and the department of Quindio.
