Pouteria caimito (Abiu)

One of sixty-six native Colombian species of the genus Pouteria with a habitat below 5,000 feet. This sweet fruit is called caimo in Colombia and is occasionally sold in markets close to where it is cultivated. Photographed in the department of Quindio.
