An ornamental small tree that can be seen in Colombia at elevations from 500 to 9000 feet. The color of the bracts are primarily red in Colombia with occasional yellow, pink and white. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Central) and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
