Passiflora tarminiana (Banana Passion Fruit)

A vine native to Colombia between 6,000 and 10,000 feet. This is another species of banana passion fruit called curuba and is very similar to Passiflora mollissima and Passiflora tripartite. The fruit is normally available in the supermarkets. It is usually mixed with milk for a juice. Photographed in the eastern Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Oriental).
