Musa paradisiaca (Plantain)

Called Platano in Colombia and a typical dish. Cultivated below 6,000 feet. The starchy fruit is normally fried when either green or the sweeter yellow. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Central).
