Cochlospermum vitifolium

One of two native species of the genus Cochlospermum in Colombia with a habitat below 5,000 feet. This is one of the many attractive trees that bloom during the dry season (December-April) between Cartagena and Barranquilla. Normally flowers when deciduous in the wild. Photographed in Barranquilla.
