Cassia grandis (Carao)

One of four native Colombian species of the genus Cassia with a habitat below 4,000 feet. The fruit is called caƱandonga in Colombia and is used as a juice mixed with milk. In stores it is sold as a pulp. Photographed in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
