Caesalpinia pulcherrima (Barbados Pride)

The national flower of Barbados is native to Colombia with a habitat below 5,600 feet. A large shrub always in bloom and can be seen throughout Colombia. It can tolerate the drought season of the Caribbean coast and the very wet mountain regions. Photographed in Barranquilla.
