Averrhoa carambola (Star Fruit)

Called carambolo in Colombia this acidic fruit can be eaten whole or preferably made into a delicious juice. Cultivated below 5,000 feet. The star fruit is occasionally sold in the supermarkets. Photographed in the Valley of Cauca.
