Annona cherimola (Cherimoya)

One of forty-three native Colombian species of the genus Annona with a habitat between 1,000 and 8,300 feet. The fruit is sweet, juicy and fragrant and is not widely sold in Colombia. Ripe when soft. Photographed in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
