Combretum indicum

Colombia has thirteen native species of the the genus combretum, but this is not one of them. A beautiful large vine that is difficult to propagate. It took me about forty cuttings to get four plants. Cultivate below 3,300 feet. Grows very fast and has an unusual pleasant scent at night. Photographed in Barranquilla.
