Passiflora tarminiana (Banana Passion Fruit)

A vine native to Colombia this is another species of banana passion fruit called Curuba very similar to Passiflora mollissima and Passiflora tripartite. The fruit is normally available in the supermarkets. It is usually mixed with milk for a juice. Photographed in the eastern Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Oriental).
