Church, plaza and statue

Is one of three small cities along with Manizales and Pereira in Colombia’s coffee region. The elevation is 5,000 feet and the surrounding area has beautiful scenery. The city is in a dangerous earthquake zone, and a 1999 earthquake destroyed much of the city, which is why the church photographed in the main plaza (Plaza de Bolívar) is modern. I am told there is a law requiring the central plaza for all cities and towns to be named, Plaza de Bolívar.
