A cecropia telealba tree greyish white leaves in cloud cover
Cecropia telealba

A tree easily spotted from a distance due to its silver-white shine. The silvery effect is due to hairs that cover the green leaves, which when hit by the sun makes the large leaves appear to be a sliver white color. It originates from Colombia and is common in the central Andes of Colombia. Photographed in Bogotá.
